Happy Fall!

Fall is here! I love this season more than anything. I love watching spooky movies, eating pumpkin-flavored everything, baking, and putting out Halloween decorations. I even added some very fall-ish clothes to my wardrobe (why thanks, Target!) so I think I'm good to go!

Nothing much new going on with me...lots of work and lots of movies as usual! For fall/Halloween, we're filling my classroom with monsters! It's not finished yet but it's pretty cute so far!

Today is all about baking ginger cookies, having a stop-motion-athon (Coraline, Nightmare Before Christmas, and ParaNorman!), and putting out Halloween decorations. Woo!

Indiana Jones Pool Party!

This past weekend we threw our annual outdoor movie party, this year's theme being Indiana Jones! We had friends over to swim, eat "bad dates" and "chilled monkey brains," and watched Raiders of the Lost Ark under the stars! We had a lot of fun with the theme, and drew inspiration from the first three Indiana Jones films, as well as the Indiana Jones ride at Disneyland. Kingdom of the Crystal Skull can go take a hike! Oh, and a video too! There were copyright laws preventing us from using the theme from Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, so we sang it instead. And it's terrible. Enjoy!
